Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is adding a Private Duty Billing and Collections Specialist to our Revenue Cycle Management team in Springfield, Mo!

Job Duties:
- Heavy emphasis on collections.
- Represents the Financial Services Department in a professional and courteous manner, on the phone and in person.
- Generating and posting revenue on a weekly basis.
- Submitting claims and following up on denials with the payers.
- Communication with operations staff
- The main payer sources for this position includes: self-pay by clients and long-term care insurance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently as well as in team
- Previous experience in billing/collections preferred
- Experience with medical billing and/or medical payer rules
- Willing to take on new tasks
- Operate standard office equipment
- Ability to Multitask and stay organized
- Self-Motivated
- Basic bookkeeping skills
- Experience with medical payer rules
- Maintain professional courteous attitude
