As the Head of Engineering (Hybrid), you will be responsible for setting the vision for the company and helping to define the overall strategy from launch to scale. Using your knowledge and expertise in innovative technologies and methodologies, you will drive strategy and decision-making across all product and technical areas. As the Head of Engineering, you will position the company for future growth by continually innovating to improve, enhance, and grow the organization’s technical capabilities through vision, inspiration, and coaching.
***Hybrid Opportunity: 3-4 days a week in NYC***
Responsibilities:- Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals.
- Identify technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or impede business growth. Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company’s services.
- Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources.
- Determine the highest order company KPIs - measure, monitor, and improve them.
- Help define and prioritize the company’s GTM strategy at the intersection of business scalability and customer needs.
- In later stages, help hire and build out a tech team to scale system development.
- Create and sustain a great company culture and a great working relationship across the company.
Requirements
- Experience in a technical lead role
- Experience working at fast growing, early-stage technology organization.
- Knowledgeable with more than one software development methodology and multiple products.
- Well informed on latest technologies and trends; able to anticipate future tech and resource needs.
- Experience hiring and managing teams.
- Discerned user requirements and developed specifications, leading to the development and successful commercialization of systems or products.
- Knowledgeable about consumer privacy and compliance requirements.
- Effective communicator and team player who has been an active member of a high-performance management team.
- Nice to have: Deep understanding of blockchain technology (infrastructure, services, application layer).
- Nice to have: domain-relevant experience in the healthcare / pharma industry.
- Nice to have: experienced in FHIR technology, GDPR, HIPAA-compliant products

The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $250,000.
Final salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
