Job Description
Overview-
The Junior Engineer will partner with the Enterprise Services team to support a variety of system integrations, system enhancements and support amp; maintenance activities across our suite of order management systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with business unit to define requirements and how they translate into application features
- Provide input and execute projects related to ERP, WMS and EDI order processing functions.
- Develop solutions to optimize workflows and help join disparate systems to improve productivity of our stakeholders teams
- Follow best practices to ensure code / configuration security, code quality, code maintainability, and clear separation of business logic and data
- Contribute to backlog management practices and help ensure clear communication to stakeholders via our Product Roadmap
- Design creative prototypes according to specifications
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing, including development and maintenance of application test plans
- Collaborate / participate in peer project / code walkthroughs
- Evaluate existing application to reprogram, update and add new features
- Develop technical documents and materials to accurately represent application design and code
- Collaborate with third party service providers supporting core applications
- Managing, monitoring, sustaining, troubleshooting and supporting existing integrations
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid computer skills including demonstrated working knowledge of application development best practices, cloud computing, productivity tools
- Excellent attention to detail and an aptitude for working with data
- Highly accurate and thorough in all tasks
- Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with and strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Ability to self-motivate and problem solve in a fast-paced setting
- Working understanding of EDI, APIs and integration flows
- Experience with bi-directional integrations between ERP and other business applications, including Salesforce, using middleware, such as Dell Boomi, Jitterbit, Celigo, etc
- Experience integrating with NetSuite preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (i.e.: information technology, computer science, computer engineering or information systems preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in application development
