Lazarus Naturals is looking to hire a Director of Operations to oversee day-to-day operations across sourcing, purchasing, warehousing, demand planning, and order fulfillment. This position will provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the team has the proper controls, reporting procedures, and people in place to ensure productivity goals are met. This position will ensure a strong talent pipeline and guide employees to streamline efforts and maximize efficiency as a team. To be successful in this role the right candidate will ensure the quality of operations, inspire staff to give their all, and implement programs and infrastructure that can scale across diversified product lines while upholding our company values. Ideal candidates are hands-on, performance-oriented, and ambitious with exceptional people and tactical leadership skills.

This position reports directly to the VP of Operations and will be directly responsible for the following:

• Leadership
  • Works with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement the annual operations plan that supports business goals, budget and company strategy.
  • Align departmental objectives with overall company goals. Develop appropriate strategies, tactics, budgeting, and metrics to proactively manage the defined course.
  • Develop and deploy Operations and Business KPIs to track performance, create alignment amp; prioritization across the team, and create real-time visibility on operational/business status.
  • Emphasize the value of team-work and accountability. Develop, mentor, and inspire the team. Helps foster a culture of operational excellence, value-add, and customer-centric thinking throughout the business.
  • Implement programs and initiatives that promote Lazarus Naturals company objectives such as: social impact, environmental stewardship, transparency, and accessibility.
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership team to develop policies, practices and cultivate a culture that maintains morale, encourages long employee tenure and loyalty.

• Demand Planning, Sourcing and Purchasing
  • Lead demand planning and purchase planning to ensure reliability and continuity of raw materials and components to maintain stock and support the production plan in a cost-effective manner.
  • Create and drive a sustainable and robust supply chain and sourcing strategy with the intent to develop and execute on new growth directives and initiatives.
  • Develop processes and systems to drive balance sheet minimization based upon better forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Develop and train the team on negotiating contracts, supplier relations, sourcing and best practices for purchasing.
  • Lead the team in strategic sourcing for cost saving and supply chain redundancy efforts. Develop tools and KPIs to track and manage supplier costing, opportunity for cost savings and cost reduction accomplishments.
  • Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, PO reports, and quality-related documentation.
  • In partnership with the BI team, deep dive into and work with to develop and improve existing purchasing, supply chain and demand planning tools, systems and processes.
  • Be the primary stakeholder and lead requirements documentation and partner with IT for Purchasing module implementation with our ERP system.

• Warehousing and Distribution
  • Managing order fulfillment, logistics including internal fleet, warehousing, and kitting.
  • Manage warehouse and inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs, warehousing and kitting strategy and workflow. Support production needs and ensure materials are properly kitted and
