The Senior Benefits and Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing, administering, and analyzing all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability and 401k/profit sharing plan. This person would recommend the best programs aligned to the organization to develop innovative and best in class Benefits and wellness programs. Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in order to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
  • Assists with new-hire orientations
  • Performs quality checks of benefits-related data
  • Assists employees regarding benefits claims issues and plan changes
  • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
  • Enrolls employees with carriers and process status changes by developing EDI Feeds for automation and handling fall outs and queries accordingly
  • Determines employee interests by conducting surveys, focus groups, and analyzing responses for new programs such as wellness.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from employees and physicians on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
  • Responds to 401k inquiries from employees and physicians relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts
  • Manages the open enrollment process
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
  • Manages cell phone stipend program for the entire company ensuring we develop a fully auditable and equitable policy
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in organizations
  • Updates and maintains Benefit procedures and guides for business continuity
  • Experience in managing leave of absence, time-off, and workers compensation programs
  • In-depth understanding of state and local laws governing leave such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA to help ensure compliance
  • Excellent analytical skills to research and evaluate programs to make informed decisions
  • Excellent writing skills for reports and benefit information sharing
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study
  • 5 (+) years' experience in benefits and compensation administration
  • Moderately advanced in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Proficient in several benefit platforms with an ease to pick up new platforms
