Job Description

REPORTS TO:

Manager of Insurance Sales and Retention

ROLE SUMMARY:

This position is a key role in supporting the Manager of Business Development and Vendor Relations and the growth and maintenance of The Trust Risk Management Services Allied Healthcare Professionals Program (AHP). The primary responsibilities are to identify new business opportunities, and to maintain and track existing partnerships/relationships through customer communication and reports.

Position Status: Full-time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am 5:00 pm

Location: In-office Monday Thursday; Remote on Fridays (unless otherwise noted)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research key customer information and utilize contact management software to maintain activity, customer communication, and reports
  • Track all activities and produce monthly progress reports and analysis as needed
  • Manage critical dates and timelines concerning partnership obligations
  • Research industry trends, products, and competitors to support business development opportunities, as requested by the Manager of Business Development and Vendor Relations
  • Attend conferences and other company events as needed
  • Coordinate deliverables associated with partner sponsorships and other sponsorships
  • Provide overall support for activities that focus on target clients in the Allied Healthcare sphere
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned, based on individual knowledge and company need
  • Collaborate across all departments

Requirements

Academic Qualifications:

  • BS in Business/Management/Marketing
  • Possess current Maryland Property and Casualty Insurance license

Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ years Property and Casualty insurance experience
  • Professional Lines underwriting and marketing knowledge and experience a plus; Healthcare Professional Lines preferred
  • Exceptionally strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Sales orientation and skills a plus; sales experience preferred
  • Good relationship builder: possesses solid interpersonal skills to work with a variety of personality types including executive level contacts. Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team
  • Highly motivated and effective communicator with the ability to make the best of interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat or similar. Above average skills in MS Excel or will take a course on using Excel upon accepting the offer for the position
  • Working knowledge of CRM software, preferably Sales Force

Physical Requirements:

  • Some travel may be required; must be able to stay overnight for meetings as necessary.
  • Requires ability to perform keyboarding tasks on a consistent basis
