The Challenge and The Opportunity
As our Assistant Controller, you will be working closely with our Vice President of Finance to execute a variety of accounting and analysis activities, including:
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review by the CEO and VP of Finance.
- Review and approve standard recurring and other non-recurring journal entries and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is included for audit and review purposes.
- Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasts as well as monthly department budget-to-actual reviews.
- Analyze and interpret variance fluctuations between actual, budget, forecast, and prior year, focusing on developing business treads.
- Responsible for overseeing sale and use tax.
- Contribute to the implementation of NetSuite ERP system; become a subject matter expert for the accounting team on ERP-related items.
- Manage office staff of 1-2 people.
The Team
We employ over 175 team members at our offices in Washington, Utah, Rhode Island, and at our Ohio distribution center. This position is based at our satellite office in North Salt Lake. You will work with a team of talented accountants there and at our corporate office in Vancouver, WA, providing support to our Brand Directors and President.

Requirements
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant Field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA) preferred.
- 4-6+ years of work experience in a finance, accounting, or financial planning/analysis role. Public accounting preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems. NetSuite experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP Accounting principles and familiarity with corporate financial reporting.
- Experience with multiple subsidiaries and consolidation processes highly preferred.

Benefits
Compensation: $80,000 to $95,000 per year DOE plus annual bonus based on company profitability.
