Job Description

As the Retail Merchandise Manager, you will work closely with our product development, marketing, and design teams to drive sales and profitability by ensuring our stores are stocked with high-quality merchandise that meets our customers' needs. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail stores, analyzing sales trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize our store's performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong background in retail merchandising, and a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop merchandise plans that align with company goals and objectives
  • Investigate the national market, analyze our target customer groups and their preferences, and analyze the performance of competitors
  • Analyze sales trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize store performance
  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, and design teams to create compelling in-store displays and promotions
  • Manage inventory levels and oversee stock replenishment to ensure product availability
  • Train and coach retail associates to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of merchandise
  • Maintain detailed records of sales and inventory levels and prepare reports for senior management


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably in the apparel industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with retail management software and systems (such as POS and inventory management)
