Job Description

NOTE: This is specific to Active Duty personnel interested in Skillbridge and located in the Tampa, FL area.

Paragon Cyber Solutions is partnering with our Armed Forces to provide mentoring and employment opportunities for Veterans that are transitioning into the Private Sector after selflessly serving our Nation. The Department of Defense has implemented the Skillbridge Intern program to provide Veterans with opportunities to gain "civilian experience" prior to ending their military career. Veterans bring a wealth of experience, discipline and energy, and we understand the significant value of hiring Veterans.

DoD SkillBridge Eligibility:

  • Has served at least 180 days on active duty
  • Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
  • Will receive an honorable discharge
  • Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
  • Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
  • Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.


The Skillbridge Intern will develop an understanding of how Cybersecurity firms develop and implement solutions to solve client problems and increase their security posture. Working in Sales / Business Development, you will work with Government and Private sector clients.

Requirements

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Attend discovery meetings and calls with potential customers, as a participant.
  • Register our business in Prime Contract and Government databases.
  • Attend local networking / industry events (company paid).
  • Search online databases for potential Government and Commercial work.
  • Reach out to potential customers and people in our CRM via phone and email to offer initial consultations / follow up work.
  • Update our internal sales processes and associated sales material.
  • Provide our webmaster with relevant updates for our website (to help drive sales).
  • Build working relationships for potential business.
