POSITION SUMMARY
The System Administrator provides leadership in the management of SALTs Azure environments, maintaining Office 365 and domain infrastructure while working with the IT team to address user needs across our fast-growing organization. This role also provides support for a small group of Phoenix based dental/ortho practices, providing on-site assistance as needed.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Manage Domains
- Ensure security setup follows Microsoft best practices.
- Migrate new practices into SALTs office 365 domain.
- Plan and implement security solutions to prevent internal and external threats.
- Support, troubleshoot and implement hardware and software.
- Work within active directories to set up user accounts.
- Configure user accounts and email accounts.
- Troubleshoot and administer databases.
- Install and configure desktop software and operating systems.
- Monitor and manage security systems.
- Respond to any escalated alerts from Blackpoint (desktop intrusion detection software with tier 1 alerts handled by the vendor).
- Manage Barracuda settings and respond to alerts for email impersonation and phishing.
- Troubleshoot help requests and work orders as they arrive.
- Assist Phoenix area (currently 4) practices with on-site IT needs as required. The on-site support is expected to average out to 20% of the role from a time perspective.
- Help answer all trouble requests.
- Improve reliability and maintainability of hardware and software systems.

PREFERRED SKILLS amp; ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred. High school or equivalent graduate required. MCSE certification or equivalent desired.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Microsoft environments, servers, and databases.
Computer Skills: Windows server, active directory, exchange, SharePoint, M365, PowerShell.
