Publishers Clearing House (PCH), headquartered in Jericho, NY has an exciting opportunity available for a Part-Time Benefits Coordinator. Working within the HR department and collaborating with Payroll, this role will be responsible for supporting the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, and 401(k).
Responsibilities include:
- Support the day-to-day administration, development, implementation and communication of PCH’s employee health and welfare benefits and 401(k) retirement program
- Participate in benefit plan renewal negotiations with vendors and PCH leadership
- Process weekly employee benefit changes in ADP for payroll
- Process monthly vendor invoices and weekly funding requests for 401(k), Health Savings Account (HSA), dental and Flexible Savings Account (FSA) claims
- Handle employee benefit related issues and claim disputes, providing a comfortable environment for employees to ask questions
- Coordinate and participate in quarterly 401(k) committee meetings
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA-HITECH, DOL and IRS regulations.
- Plan and coordinate PCH's annual health and wellness fair as well as come up with new and exciting wellness initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2-5 years experience as a Benefits Coordinator or Administrator
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and welfare and retirement benefits and applicable federal, state and local laws, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and ACA
- Excellent written/verbal, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefit plan designs and administration
- Experience administering benefits in an HRIS environment, preferably ADP Workforce Now
- Ability to maintain a high degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential employee information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong problem solving, organization and time management skills

This is a part-time position (up to 30 hours per week) based in our Jericho, NY office with the opportunity to work remotely on a flexible/hybrid basis. Candidates must reside in the NY tri-state area.
