Our partner is looking for an experienced and technically proficient Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Repair, maintain, overhaul, and install various machinery, including pumps, motors, grinders, blowers, compressors, presses, injection systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Troubleshoot and troubleshoot complex machinery, performing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as needed.
- Design, install, repair, and maintain piping and plumbing systems for sewage, water, gases, chemicals, and solids, using appropriate materials.
- Fabricate and repair plant piping, equipment guards, and bases using welding equipment and other tools.
- Design and fabricate various metal fixtures, including vents, air ducts, doors, louvers, containers, equipment covers, machinery bases, and support members.
- Plan equipment repairs using blueprints, engineering drawings, computer-aided design (CAD), and other resources.
- Operate, maintain, and inspect mobile/overhead cranes and forklifts for the installation and removal of industrial machinery.
- Utilize machine shop equipment such as fusion machines, saws, mills, lathes, drills, presses, and grinders to fabricate and repair parts.
- Conduct equipment evaluation and troubleshooting using testing equipment, measurement techniques, and software.
- Lead assigned crew members in repair, overhaul, installation, and maintenance tasks under the supervisor's direction.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Work Schedule:
This position works a 4 day/10 hours per day schedule. Candidates must be available to work any assigned schedule. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
Requirements
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Two years of working experience as a millwright or related occupation with broad mechanical maintenance responsibilities.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance trade, plumbing techniques, welding techniques, vibration analysis, pump/motor overhaul techniques, schematic drawings, power and hand tool operation, carpentry techniques, safety procedures, automated maintenance work order systems, computer usage, lubrication principles, troubleshooting equipment, and machinist measuring techniques.
- Ability to work all shift schedules, including adverse and inclement weather conditions.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds, use ladders, and work in environments with noxious odors and high noise levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse individuals and in a team environment.
- CPR and first aid certification (highly desired).
