We are looking for a Project Manager to join our product development team onsite in our Boston or Marlborough, MA office.
What you’ll do at?Lightelligence:
- Lead cross-functional teams in Lightelligence’s product development and research projects
- Collaborate with senior program managers to deliver specific portions of complex product development programs
- Guide product development teams through a phase-gate based product development process and enforce timely delivery of quality project and program deliverables
- Demonstrate team-first leadership, where the success of the team is valued over that of any one group or individual
- Support engineering teams in the development of architecture and design specifications required to implement product requirements provided by product management
- Guide development teams through the creation of project plans and schedules. Proactively maintain development schedules through the entire project lifecycle
- Lead teams through risk identification, scoring, and mitigation planning activities
- Proactively socialize risks and escalate unresolved obstacles and challenges to management for visibility, support, and resolution
- Partner with external suppliers as needed to acquire intellectual property or design services as well as prototyping and manufacturing
- Provide regular progress updates to executive management and stakeholders on team progress, accomplishments, and challenges
- Work with program participants and stakeholders to resolve differences and negotiate agreements
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:?
- Highly motivated, self-starting individual who can work independently but also knows when to ask for support.
- High-ownership mindset that values team success over individual success.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS or BA) required, preferably in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering or other similar technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing semiconductor or electronics product development projects or programs.
- Ability to guide engineering teams through a work breakdown process and independently assess the quality of that WBS.
- Good written and oral communication skills to support collaboration with and driving of development teams. Able to communicate effectively in complex situations to avoid confusion and bring clarity.
- Experience with either Agile or waterfall project management techniques.
- Skilled with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated history of success managing global teams.
- Experience with JIRA, GitLab, or Azure Dev Ops
- PMP or PgMP certification
- Experience in the semiconductor industry; familiarity with machine learning or silicon photonics
