Organization Profile:
ABOUT THE LIFE IS GOOD PLAYMAKER PROJECT
1 in 3 kids experience early childhood trauma threats like homelessness, abuse, or community violence. Experiences with childhood trauma can impact a child’s long-term physical, social, and emotional health. The good news is that research shows that a positive relationship with just one caring adult in early childhood can change a child's life entirely.
The Life is Good Playmaker Project teaches early childhood educators to help kids heal from trauma. We have a growing network of more than 16,000 professionals who create the positive relationships and joy-filled environments that children need to heal, learn, and thrive. We call them Playmakers. This work is needed now, more than ever and we’re on a mission to double the size of our Playmaker community. You are joining us as we launch a new learning program and online platform, Playmaker University, that offers a new certificate program, continuing education, and a supportive alumni community. Every detail you nail, every training you organize, and every relationship you create will serve to elevate and empower a diverse community of early childhood professionals and mobilize them to the frontlines of the mental health crisis our children are facing. Are you with us?
