Job Description

The Experiential Marketing Specialist is responsible for tactical support, planning, and execution of departmental initiatives, fostering the success of events, activations, experiential marketing initiatives, and strategic partnerships.


Core Responsibilities

Partnership Coordination

  • Manage project timelines, documents, meetings and deliverables on a daily basis to support meaningful alliance marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with departmental and cross-functional stakeholders to create, update and manage partnership decks and supporting documents/content
  • Develop an understanding of alliance marketing objectives in order to create meaningful experiences that support the goals of the department/business
  • Manage shared documents and similar platforms to communicate with partners or third parties
  • Plan, schedule, attend and initiate meetings to support initiative success through meaningful content, appropriate cadences, accurate notes, clear deliverables and helpful reminders
  • Contribute to the ideation of partnerships planning and support in lead generation
  • Develop internal, cross-functional, and external efficiencies and ways of working to support meaningful interactions and scalable results
  • Build relationships with partners and other stakeholders through thoughtful communication, hospitable demeanor and detail-oriented work
  • Additional tactical responsibilities include shipping wine or merchandise, managing tickets or RSVPs, securing collateral or requesting creative, facilitate critical paths, recording metrics, organizing photo shoots, liaison with creative or PR agencies, and planning experiences

Experiential Marketing Coordination

  • Manage or support events and activations within the Experiential Marketing Department, especially brand activations related to partnerships
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with vendors, developing strong relationships and efficiencies
  • Develop an understanding of initiative objectives to create meaningful experiences that support the goals of the department/business
  • Update calendars, internal templates, meeting cadences, agendas and critical paths
  • Ability to lead event staff effectively and purposefully
  • Support in the planning and execution for any departmental initiatives or special projects

Budget Management

  • Create and submit check requests, wine requisitions, request forms, Wine Direct, RSVPs, PDOs or similar.
  • Adheres to budget and tracks spending.
  • Handles vendor payments in a timely manner both internally and externally.
  • Understand and follow company-wide contract best practices

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Events, Partnerships and/or Hospitality Management

Working Conditions

  • Regular working schedule to include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings. Attends events and event meetings outside of normal scheduled working hours.
  • Upholds DAOU standards, brands and promises both in and outside of the workplace.
  • Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and special events.
  • Consistent travel to SLO County with domestic travel.
  • Some travel required.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Sitting for long periods of time (8 hours per day).

Compensation for this role is $24-$26/hr.
