Job Description

From fundamental physics to leading edge commercial products, Infleqtion enables quantum everywhere through our ecosystem of devices and platforms. We are currently searching for an experienced Assembly Technician II.

Location

Infleqtion has 6 office locations, operating out of Austin, TX; Boulder/Louisville, CO; Madison, WI; Chicago, IL; London, UK; and Melbourne, AU. This position is a full-time, in-office position which will be located in our Boulder, Colorado office.

Position Summary

The newly hired team member is responsible for assembling sub-component products which will contribute to final product assembly. The assembly technology requires good manual dexterity, ability to conduct visual inspections, understanding of mechanical/engineering equipment, and commitment to follow all safety processes.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify and gather necessary parts to be used for assigned assembly processes by following internal protocols and instructions, including engineering documents
  • Identify and locate necessary tools and equipment for assembly process
  • Build assemblies and document processes as required, all the while ensuring that products and accessories progress swiftly through the process
  • Conduct inspections throughout the process to ensure proper build and quality standards and performance levels are met
  • Perform necessary maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and safe work area
  • Solve technical problems and make sound design recommendations
  • Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and diagnosing design and manufacturing quality problems
  • Participate in cross training team members

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • 9+ years of experience assembling opto-mechanical instruments/components in a production environment OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics plus 5 years of opto-mechanical assembly experience
  • Experience as Engineering Technician is preferred
  • Capable of interpreting and assembling products from written instructions, drawings, diagrams, or verbal directions
  • Demonstrated ability to visually assess quality of assembled products
  • Good physical dexterity in order to assemble small components into sub-assemblies
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize initiatives, and take ownership in resolving issues with urgency and vigor
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new and complex topics quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, team-oriented, and matrixed environment
  • Desire and demonstrated ability to thrive and produce results in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
  • Good collaboration skills, able to work in a team environment where engagement and participation are an expected part of successful job performance
  • Passion for solving complex problems and challenges in a highly technical and scientific environment
  • Professional-level communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Self-motivated, energetic individuals with strong problem-solving and technical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • This role requires that you do not require sponsorship or a work visa transfer
