Oakwood School is seeking a full-time, school-year, Advancement Coordinator.


SUMMARY

Oakwood School seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Advancement Coordinator to join our Advancement Team (Admissions, Communications, and Development). The successful candidate will provide essential support in various areas, including development, engagement, communications, admissions, and athletics. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Admissions Process and Candidate Review: Manage admissions inquiries, communicate with parents and the Admissions Team, review applications for completeness, schedule parent interviews, prepare admissions files, and maintain applicant information for review.
  • Content Creation and Management: Coordinate, create, and post engaging, accurate content for news posts, Inside Scoop, social media, and website updates. Assist with various writing tasks.
  • Communication and Support: Maintain effective communication channels, organize newsletters and constituent information, and support various communications tasks.
  • Development: Provide support in distributing tax letters and acknowledgments for gifts, assisting with donor-related projects, managing data entry and acknowledgments for giving and events, and supporting various fundraising campaigns.
  • Events amp; Engagement: Assist with and attend admissions, community, and fundraising events.
  • General: Manage financial records, coordinate printing projects, maintain vendor relationships and actively participate in Advancement and department meetings.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, amp; SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in education or similar field
  • Strong competency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within specified deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated learner with a proactive attitude toward acquiring new skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research and learn new techniques or software functionalities
  • Effective time management skills to meet multiple ongoing deadlines
  • Confident ability to be trained in Adobe design software (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS amp; ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment.
  • Ability to work at a desk/computer for extended periods of time
  • Frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms
  • Ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations on campus
  • Normal office environment and moderate noise levels
  • Occasional to frequent interruptions

COMPENSATION

This position has an expected salary range of $44,188.00 - $52,500.00 annually.
