Our hire performs bookkeeping and financial duties as part of the daily operation of the Social Services Department with County of Blair. Essential duties include processing invoices for accounts payable and claims; collecting invoice information; recording and documenting general ledger transactions; maintaining client database; completing payroll and time studies; pulling background check clearance reports; initiating client financial transactions; creating reports; filing; and maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in accounting or business administration is preferred. Candidates must also have one year's experience as a fiscal assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of work that involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices. English proficiency is required, as are proficient interpersonal relations and organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to function independently and with flexibility, computer literacy, and knowledge of accounting and basic math.
