Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of shopper research studies to gain insights into consumer behaviors, attitudes, and preferences.
  • Utilize in-depth analytics, third-party tools, and category/shopper insights to aid in strategy development.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales departments to craft strategies grounded in shopper insights.
  • Collaborate with the category management team to regularly monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing analytics team to incorporate advanced analytics into shopper insights.
  • Remain abreast of the latest trends and developments in shopper research and the CPG industry.
  • Act as the in-house expert on Stratum 84.51 and other syndicated data tools, providing guidance to sales/marketing/category management teams and other internal partners.
  • Take charge of delivering reporting and comprehensive ad hoc analyses through Stratum 84.51 and future panel platforms such as Numerator.
  • Perform tasks such as data extraction, data assessment, opportunity identification, and making recommendations to business partners, among other responsibilities.
  • Execute the insights plan and oversee projects from beginning to end, including setting objectives, identifying data sources, determining suitable research methodologies, securing project bids from research suppliers, managing the project, and analyzing and presenting results to key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, degrees based in research or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in shopper/consumer insight within CPG or a similar role, ideally with a previous or current focus in beverage.
  • Developed and implemented shopper research studies to understand shopper behavior, attitudes, and preferences. (Virtual shopping studies, brand/consumer tracking, shelf tests, focus groups, amongst others)
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Must be a power user in syndicated/panel data platforms (IRI, SPINs, Numerator, Nielsen, 84.51)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, and other data/visualization tools.
    • XLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a must, PowerBI/Power Pivot amp; Query is a plus.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in shopper research and CPG industry.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and strategic recommendations to executive-level audiences.
  • Demonstrate superior interpersonal skills, cultivating cross-functional relationships that encourage teamwork and contribute to a collaborative working environment, thereby advancing project progress.
