Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Construction Project Manager to oversee and lead our construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of civil construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage civil construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgetary constraints, and timeline requirements.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and resource allocation, in collaboration with stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and control project progress, including tracking expenses, evaluating productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, procurement of materials and equipment, and monitoring expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and timely project execution.
  • Anticipate and proactively address potential issues, delays, or conflicts, implementing corrective measures to keep projects on track.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management, providing updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to review plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they align with project requirements and objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil construction, with a 10+ year track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and cost estimation software.
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, legal regulations, and building codes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are a plus.
