• Review and maintain firewall rules in accordance with industry best practices to ensure optimal network security configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage remote network access using GlobalProtect for a large userbase, monitoring performance and addressing any issues as they arise.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud-based Palo Alto firewalls in Azure and AWS environments.
• Utilize Panorama for centralized management of all firewalls, including monitoring, reporting, and policy updates.
• Implement and manage templates and dynamic objects to streamline network security operations and improve efficiency.
• Analyze and optimize traffic flow to ensure smooth network performance and address any bottlenecks or disruptions.
• Work closely with teams responsible for implementing and managing Akamai's content delivery network, ensuring optimal performance and security within the organization.
• Optional: Manage F5 load balancers, performing configuration updates, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Continuously stay updated on emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and adherence to security policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development of network security documentation, guidelines, and training materials for internal teams and end users.

Requirements

• Ability to work on and with a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

• 10+ years in network engineering and support.
• Proficient in reviewing and understanding firewall rule best practices to ensure optimal network security configuration.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting network security issues and implementing necessary solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of remote network access using GlobalProtect for large userbases, preferably 50,000+ users.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based Palo Alto firewalls in Azure and AWS environments.
• Proficient in using Panorama for centralized management of all firewalls, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with deploying and managing templates and dynamic objects in a network security environment.
• Expertise in troubleshooting traffic flow issues and optimizing network performance.
• Basic understanding of Zscaler cloud security solutions and integration with existing systems.
• Familiarity with Akamai content delivery network and related security features.
• Optional: Knowledge of F5 load balancers and their configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Consulting with the application team / project to understand the requirement and propose a solution architecture
• New IP Subnet request for each application
• Azure route Table and NSG config for each IP Subnet
• Azure Palo Alto configuration for each / IP subnet or Application
• Incident, Problem and Change related azure IaaS /PaaS services and Palo Alto
• Support and consulting with MS for all Azure related incidents.
• Security Incidents triggered from WIZ for Azure hosted services
• Palo Alto life cycle management , daily health check and reporting
• VPN Gateway configuration and troubleshooting for communication requirements
• Hybrid Connection manager configuration from PaaS to IaaS and on-prem connection
• Azure Application Gateway and Palo Alto configuration for Web Hosting
• Azure Load Balancer configuration

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000 yearly salary. Many factors will be taken into consideration when determining the compensation rate for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, etc.
