Job Description

Impec Group is aggressively recruiting for the role of CAD-IWMS Systems Support Specialist. As an experienced Systems Support Specialist, you will be responsible for CAD data quality and maintenance, and registration and support of the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS). Your role will involve creating and maintaining CAD drawings and floor plan data, revising, and registering plans to an IWMS, ensuring the smooth operation of the IWMS software, assisting with troubleshooting issues, and supporting users with system functionality. You will collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., architects, engineers, facility managers, and IT teams) to ensure the quality and accuracy of the CAD data and of the use of the IWMS in support of productivity within the organization. This role is designated as an on-site position, located in Sunnyvale, California. In the future, there may be an opportunity for remote or hybrid work dynamics.

As the CAD-IWMS Systems Support Specialist, you play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the system and supporting users to maximize the benefits of the software. Your technical expertise, user support, and collaboration with stakeholders will contribute to the efficient use of the system and the overall success of facility management processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

CAD Data Creation and Maintenance:

  • Manage and maintain CAD drawings, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility. Maintain CAD attribute data in CAD and in support of the IWMS system.
  • Maintain and update a block library as needed.
  • Load new drawings as needed into the IWMS system.
  • Manage version changes and update plan data to support new versions and releases. Understand the roadmap and own the success of the IWMS solution.
  • Ensure that all standards are maintained, and all governance, policy, and procedures are followed. Update and improve processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage CAD data for space planning, occupancy management, asset tracking, and other facility management functions.
  • Understand other corporate tools and integrations as needed between tools and the CAD and IWMS solutions.

User Training and Assistance:

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on CAD-IWMS system functionalities, best practices, and workflows.
  • Provide user support and guidance, assisting individuals in utilizing IWMS tools effectively and resolving user-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, manuals, and tutorials to facilitate self-service support and user adoption of the IWMS system.

System Integration and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, facility managers, and IT professionals, to integrate the IWMS system with other software applications and databases as needed.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide technical expertise and support.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) with a minimum of five (5) years of experience. Proficiency in IWMS software (e.g., Archibus, FM:Systems). Relevant certifications or training in CAD-IWMS systems are desirable.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support and maintenance for CAD and IWMS solutions. Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve software-related issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of database management, SQL, and data analysis tools for CAD-IWMS systems as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with users and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

    Annual Salary Range

    • The stated Salary range, based on candidate experience and competencies, for this role in Sunnyvale, CA is $49,518 to $72,152.
