Our Accounting team is growing, and we are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager! This role will require not only a high degree of collaboration with Property Accountants, but also cross-functional communications, so the person in this role will have the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels. This role will report directly to the Controller.
What You’ll Do
The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible mainly for reporting on the corporate entity which includes:
- Monthly review of financial statements and variance analyses
- Issue financial statements and in-depth analyses to the executive committee on a quarterly basis
- Prepare the annual corporate budget, annual reforecast, and analyses
- Cash management and forward-looking analysis
- Review and track numerous revenue and expense accruals monthly
- Approve employee expense reports and reviewing/tracking AMEX compliance
- Prepare annual and monthly sales amp; use tax forms for multiple states
- Work with state revenue departments to set up sales and use tax accounts where necessary
- preparing ad-hoc requests from the Controller and CFO
- being point of contact for employees company-wide on corporate expense related questions
- responsible for managing back-end changes for the expense report and time-billing software
- review portfolio wide allocations for time billing, expense report, and miscellaneous billbacks
- this role may include a small portfolio of property accounting (including review of financial statements, CAM amp; RE tax billbacks, and budgets)

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Public Accounting experience will be looked upon favorably
- Prior management experience of accounting professional(s)
- Real Estate software knowledge, especially MRI, AvidXchange, and Anaplan is highly desirable.
- Master-level Excel knowledge is also a plus
- The ideal candidate will be able to quickly learn and master various software
- 5+ years of general ledger / financial statement review in a similar environment.
