Senior Software Engineer - Quality Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer that specializes in quality to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of modern software testing methodologies and techniques.

The individual will work in an agile environment with other talented engineers and will be responsible for defining and leading testing efforts for software products and projects, ensuring that they meet the highest software quality standards in the industry. The role will involve defining quality assurance strategy, designing and implementing test plans and test automation.

Responsibilities:

• Defining appropriate testing strategy for software projects and products, including functional, automation, performance and acceptance strategies.
• Working with development teams to help them build unit testing into the application core as part of the overall testing strategy.
• Be able to recommend and implement appropriate test automation framework architecture in a given technology stack and business domain.
• Designing and implementing test scenarios and plans, including the selection of appropriate testing tools, frameworks and techniques.
• Driving the implementation of appropriate test automations and ensuring manual testing is only used where automation is not effective.
• Communicate proactively with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure software quality issues are addressed in a timely manner, taking into account the software release cycle and priorities.
• Participate in requirement gathering and design reviews to provide input on testability and risks.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to other engineers on the team.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an engineer.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a test/QA engineer.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong experience with test automation tools and techniques including building test automations from scratch.
• A passion for software testing and a drive to continuously improve quality assurance processes.

Annual Salary

• $110,000-130,000 - Based on experience
