The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Vice President, Pickleball with an entrepreneurial mindset eager to take on overall revenue responsibility, including division sales, to continue our growth strategy as a leader in sports technology and software. Your primary work will be to lead a team driving B2B sales growth across pickleball providers first in the US and then globally. You will report to the President and be a key member of the senior management team to align strategic vision, build revenue and scale. You’ll also source, facilitate, work and close new pickleball partnership opportunities, including collaborating with the CEO on all major deals.

What You Will Do

  • Work with the CEO, President, advisors and senior management team to translate today’s growth trends in pickleball into company revenue opportunities
  • Source, structure and negotiate sales, partnerships, and other deals for growing pickleball player and provider membership, subscriptions revenue and engagement on our apps
  • Own the achievement of revenue and growth targets and team/individual KPIs including goals/objectives for team capacity and profitability
  • Manage club/provider sales and account management team to meet and exceed growth targets through launching pickleball tournaments, events, leagues and circuits using our technology products and services
  • Directly initiate, lead and drive customer relationships; be very hands on
  • Establish and foster cross functional relationships to ensure that customer research, feedback, and strategic objectives are all well executed, working closely in collaboration with company marketing, finance and product operations teams
  • Own strategic planning, Pamp;L, budgeting and go to market deliverables for pickleball segment
  • Work with teams to ensure necessary knowledge of the pickleball industry to deliver effective content generation and participation on the apps.
  • Develop and execute a plan to deliver pickleball events on a large scale to college and high school facilities across the United States.

Requirements

What you Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years experience in Sales and Business Development in sports required with a strong preference for racquet sports experience
  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years successful track record, or very heavy involvement, in pickleball
  • Proven success in general management, business ownership
  • An extremely connected network in pickleball is required
  • 3+ years in software / technology sales and partnership experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills with the ability to get things done
  • Experienced negotiator and comfortable with contracts
  • Proven track record of strong management and organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Preference for an entrepreneurial work environment with demonstrated ability to work in racquet sports in a fast-paced company with all that entails
  • Confident, smart, able to think outside the box and on your feet at all times.
