About PayEngine

PayEngine is a venture funded payments platform built specifically for the needs of vertical SaaS software companies. Our clients leverage PayEngine APIs, webhooks and proprietary widget technology, to embed, launch, and scale payments and financial products for their end customers, the businesses that use their software.. We believe that software tools will play an increasingly important role in helping businesses with their operations scheduling, booking, online presence, mobile applications and being able to provide easy to use payment options for consumers helps these businesses thrive.

We are looking for a dynamic professional to help build our brand, presence, and story. Our ideal candidate has an eye for design and detail, can craft a succinct message, and wrangle vendors or contractors to put together a full go to market strategy. This position will work directly with our Head of Marketing and will work closely with all aspects of our small team - our sales team, our product team, our founder and executives.

Relevant experience includes design work, writing, advertising or promotional work, other software, developer tools, payments infrastructure, or similar technical in nature products. This role isn’t technical per se, but you will be expected to learn and work around very technical people and tools.


This position is hybrid with monthly meetings in either Los Angeles, CA or Chula Vista, CA.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing branding strategies to enhance brand awareness and consistency across all marketing channels
  • Collaborate with the broader team to create compelling pitches and stories that effectively communicate our value proposition to our target audience
  • Contribute to the development of go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new products or initiatives
  • Manage and coordinate our web presence, including website re-designs, regular content updates, SEO strategies, linking strategies, and related social media presence
  • Coordinate or craft engaging and persuasive cold email campaigns to drive lead generation and nurture prospects
  • Manage or coordinate paid advertising campaigns across various platforms to drive targeted traffic and conversions
  • Assist with cultivating strategic partnerships to expand our reach and enhance our brand presence
  • Utilize your design skills and experience to help create/edit visually appealing marketing materials using tools like Figma and Photoshop.
  • Leverage Notion, Figma, Google Docs, HubSpot, Zapier, and any other tool to document your work, create data-driven results, and make sure we scale up as we grow
  • Experiment with demand generation strategies on HubSpot, analyzing results and making data-driven recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in branding and marketing, preferably in an associate, coordinator or manager role
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Photoshop
  • Proficiency in content writing and/or editing
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, principles, SEO and experience in optimizing websites for search engines
  • Helpful but not required - experience managing paid advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or LinkedIn Ads.
  • Helpful but not required - experience in payments, developer tools, APIs,
  • Helpful but not required - experience with HubSpot or Salesforce, managing large prospect lists and associated marketing tooling
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field (preferred).

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
    The overall market range for this role is typically $75,000-90,000
