Burke's is an independent K-8 gender-inclusive all-girls’ school located on a 3.5-acre campus in San Francisco. Position Description
We are looking for someone who is creative, organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with digital and printed media, and willing to learn new skills. We are seeking a person with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a desire to share the joyful stories of our busy school community. Relevant skills include writing, copy editing, project management, marketing, and public relations. Website management, and photography. Experience with advancement and graphic design skills are a plus, but not required.
The Communications and Advancement Assistant reports to the Director of Communications. This position will work with the Advancement team, under general supervision of the Director of Advancement to support print and digital communications for Burke’s current parents, grandparents, alumnae, and donors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in learning about communications in the educational sector. The ideal candidate is interested in various visual and written communication platforms and wants to learn more about Advancement programming in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
