About the role:

The Manager, Design Solutions is responsible for building out a Graphic Design function from scratch, overseeing a team of internal and/or external designers, engaging with senior-and executive-level clients, and managing all aspects of Advisory’s graphic design function. This includes but is not limited to developing visually effective codes of conduct, policies, compliance assets, reports, web designs, and other designed elements for both print and interactive digital formats. The role will also include creating logos, advertisements, newsletters, brochures, banners, line art, illustrations, and web content for all clientele.

We anticipate the Manager, Design Solutions will have a primary focus supporting our Code of Conduct Solutions, although the Manager, Design Solutions may also manage other Advisory Services projects as needed. Specific duties are listed below. This role reports directly to a Director of Advisory Services.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee and manage the creative aspects of all Advisory Services design projects, including both internal and external (vendor) design resources.
  • Present design solutions to senior- and executive-level client stakeholders.
  • Capacity plan and assign internal and external (vendor) design resources to projects.
  • Collaborate with other delivery professionals in LRN to improve process and efficiency.
  • Work directly with the core solutions team on the client side as well as a team of LRN Advisory specialists, which may include an ethics and compliance subject matter expert, writer, editor, translations manager, learning manager, product developer, and others.
  • Deliver on high-value and high-impact design solutions.
  • Advise on best practices and optimizations throughout design projects.

Requirements

  • Passion for communicating ideas visually and making communications more accessible and easier to understand for all audiences.
  • 5+ years of experience creating, designing, and overseeing the delivery of multiple, simultaneous graphic design projects. Previous experience should include delivery of codes of conduct, policies, and annual reports, or developing training products such as eLearning courses.
  • Experience with both print and digital media.
  • Ability to take strategic concepts and turn into actionable plans.
  • Ability to perform effective capacity planning and assigning of team members and/or vendors to projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional graphic design skills that include working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to work within timelines, be highly adaptable, and well organized.
  • Proficiency with visual programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with HTML preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADA Standards for Accessible Design.
  • Experience with project management systems such as Asana, Mavenlink, Trello, etc. is a plus.
  • A solution-oriented personality with keen attention to detail.
