Qwake Technologies is building a life-saving tech solution for First Responders, backed by one of the industry’s largest players. C-THRU, our patented augmented reality vision and navigation platform, allows firefighters to see in complete darkness - fundamentally improving safety and coordination. We are collaborating with DHS, fire agencies, and our industry partner to commercialize our platform, and we are now at a critical inflection point of growth, on a path to launch our flagship product this year.
About the Role:
Qwake Technologies is actively seeking an experienced Front-End Web Developer who has a keen eye for design and a passion for creating seamless user interfaces. In this role, your primary focus will be on developing user interface components, implementing them following well-known React.js workflows, and ensuring these components and the overall application are robust and easy to manage.
You will collaborate closely with our design team, back-end developers, and the C-suite to deliver optimal user experiences. Reporting directly to the VP of Software, you'll be instrumental in shaping the visual aspects of our web applications.
Requirements
Experience / Skills:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in developing websites in collaboration with designers.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Solid experience in JavaScript with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular).
- Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
- Ability to develop web applications that integrate with an authentication server.
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
- Familiarity with Figma or other visual design tools.
