About This Job
As an Associate Director, Architect (Software Engineering), you’ll be instrumental in innovating and developing immersive digital experiences on cutting-edge, large-scale, enterprise consumer-facing websites. You’ll be successful by leveraging your technical backend development expertise to build websites on content management systems (CMS) such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or eCommerce platforms.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop backend code for highly visible marketing and eCommerce Websites
- Mentor and guide backend development team members in design implementation following the standards and approaches you help create + define.
- Contribute to the codebase by validate, monitoring and reviewing the quality of code produced by the team. (25%)
- Establish presentation layer technical requirements.
- Produce interim deliverables such as style guide components, technical specifications, browser and market analysis, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc., in addition to the final live site or application.
- Participate in project estimation and contribute to authoring of technical and business requirement documentation
Who You Are
- Experience leading a team of senior backend software engineers.
- Hands-coding experience with Java and Adobe Experience manager (AEM)
- Backend Architecture experience and team leadership and managing working with clients and their 3rd party vendor is required
- Some experience with Javascript libraries such as React or Angular would be handy
- Adept with: GIT and best practices for version control across distributed teams; Custom templates (Editable and Static); Custom client libraries; Multilingual websites.
- Prior working experience on scrum teams in an Agile context
Great if you also have:
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer certification.
- Experience with, or the ability to learn: Building websites for AEM 6.5 or AEM as a Cloud Service; Developing custom components using HTL.
- Experience working with Java
- Experience working with React/Angular is an added bonus
- Some proficiency in UX design, information architecture and/or graphic design, but prefer to code!
