EIP is seeking a Sector Lead at the Senior Associate or Associate Vice President level to spearhead our market analysis and commercialization efforts in commercialization, research, amp; innovation work in the areas of digital transformation amp; cybersecurity. This role will be primarily responsible for: (1) Building relationships with operational leaders from our strategic partner organizations (e.g. CIOs, CISOs, and their direct reports); (2) driving commercialization between our partners and our portfolio to help scale the technologies in which we invest, and (3) synthesizing market research into unique insights amp; strategic frameworks for our internal and external network.
We’re looking for the rare triple-threat: a master relationship builder; an excellent heads-down technology market researcher; and an insight machine. This role also works closely with our investment team and other functions within our tight-knit company.
EIP is headquartered in New York City. We prefer candidates who can work out of our HQ, but we are open to excellent candidates elsewhere.

The Research amp; Innovation team at EIP operates across all our funds to (1) develop market insight and facilitate the flow of knowledge between our strategic partners, our investing teams, and our portfolio companies, and (2) foster commercial relationships between our partners and our portfolio to help scale the technologies in which we invest. To date our team has engaged 1,500+ operating leaders in our strategic partner base, published 60+ market insight reports, and built an ecosystem resulting in $2bn in new business for our portfolio.
Our strategic partner base comprises over 60+ corporates with a direct interest both in the energy transition and in cybersecurity; these include utilities like Southern Company and Xcel Energy, as well as energy end-users like Avalon Bay, Microsoft, and Enterprise.
