About the Role:A Lead Backend Engineer at Madison Logic will operate independently, focusing on helping to guide engineering teams to build a best in breed platform. You will work with our Architects to implement a broad vision using industry standard best practices focused on security and integrity. You need to analyze the rippling impacts of technical decisions on other system components and ensure quality, scalable code is created. Furthermore, a Lead Back-end Engineer must be willing and able to mentor other engineers within the Madison Logic team. Our Lead engineers are typically seen as prime technical resources and must be willing to share their opinions and experiences effectively. You will be responsible for guiding and advising a team that is building and maintaining a best in breed application stack with a heavy focus on the Back-end APIs, Applications and structures. Your contributions will ensure that our platform is both cutting-edge and easy to use.What You'll Do- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management in Agile: You must have demonstrated experience working with Product Owners and Management to plan solutions, manage resources and deliver quality on time
- Code For Quality: Expert in designing quality software, and a track record of building world-class products, which combine usability, accessibility, elegance, performance, and maintainability
- Third Party Integration: Experience building and documenting third party integrations for Data connections using appropriate technologies and architectures
- Technical Definitions: Work with Leadership teams to provide tight, actionable, and provable specifications and stories for development
- Design For Quality: Expert level understanding of what it takes to create high quality, scalable software, and the ability to mentor others in these practices
- Communications: You must be a strong communicator.
- Release Management: Help design and build a process to ensure that product releases go smoothly and predictably
- Adopt automated and manual test strategies to ensure product quality
- Understanding of key software design principles and patterns

- Generating recyclable code libraries and frameworks
- Attending regular meetings with UI/UX and other front-end teams to expose back-end weaknesses and problems
- Implementing ongoing security systems
- Configuring the back-end usability of all front-end applications

What You'll Do:- Bachelor’s degree plus 5+yrs experience as an Node.js/Back-end engineer or 8+yrs experience as a Node.js/Back-end engineer
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, proficient in at least one coding language, including but not limited to Javascript, Typescript, Golang, Python, Java, C++, Rust
- Curiosity towards new technology and outstanding ability to analyze and solve problems;
- Good grasp of software engineering and how to build a system in scalable and extensive manner
- Have experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- Strong Understanding of concurrency, database, and message queue systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability
