Our partner is looking for a VP of Operations in Phoenix, AZ. As our VP of Operations, you'll be the driving force behind the day-to-day operations of our service departments, ensuring everything runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Your role will be to support and develop our team of payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, operational accounting, 401(k), and HR guidance experts. You'll also be the go-to resource for handling those unique, time-sensitive client issues that crop up from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the strategy and execution of the daily operations of all service departments
- Identify procedural inefficiencies and formulate the appropriate changes necessary
- Implement new processes strategically with team members
- Act as resource for problem resolution related to any 401k, operational accounting, or payroll discrepancies and processing errors
- Handle and resolve escalated client issues that are unique and time sensitive
- Build and retain strong client relationships
- Assess team members' performance and provide feedback that promotes developmental growth through setting goals
- Empower team members to achieve their peak productivity
- Effectively resolve employee relation issues and complaints
Requirements
- 5-10 years of managing a large team in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Familiar with basic federal and state employment law
- Proficient in latest web technologies and working knowledge of various operational systems and applications
- Management experience in ASO/PEO or Payroll industry highly preferred
- SQL experience a huge plus, but you can learn this along the way
- Effective at managing multiple efforts simultaneously
- Excellent at verbal and written communications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
