Roles and Responsibilities:

This role will lead the organization in the creation and maintenance of its financial plan in Workday’s Adaptive planning software. The FPamp;A Manager is responsible for forecasting the business on a quarterly and annual cadence, leading monthly expense reviews with department leaders, reporting results to senior management and investors, and developing a long range fully integrated 3 statement financial model. This is an individual contributor role with the potential to manage direct reports in the future as the organization grows.

  • Prepare monthly reporting deck for executive team and investors, including commentary on revenue and expense results.
  • Lead monthly expense reviews with department and business unit leaders by digging into results at a transaction level to explain why departments beat or missed forecast.
  • Work with Accounting to ensure expenses are booked to correct general ledger accounts and cost centers.
  • Build relationships with leaders, advising them on risks to missing plan.
  • Build a multi-year fully integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow forecast.
  • Be the resident expert and administrator of Workday’s Adaptive planning software.
  • Continue to enhance existing Adaptive implementation by adding automated integrations to other systems, additional reporting views, revenue, and expense drivers.
  • Ability to think through complex revenue and expense drivers and timing differences for lines of business within the company.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and clear presentation and formatting when presenting numbers.
  • Build thoughtful analyses to drive better investment decisions.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and provide analytical support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in finance and/or accounting
  • Minimum of 7 years of corporate finance in large matrixed organizations, particularly manufacturing or franchise businesses
  • Highly proficient in Workday Adaptive planning software
  • Proficient in Netsuite.
  • Tableau, and UKG experience preferred (or another similar dashboard and payroll system)
  • Experience working with consultants on planning tool implementation.
  • Highly proficient in financial modeling in Excel.
  • Proven ability to lead budgeting process under time constraint with precision.
