Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide competent clinical and technical support to medical professionals and agent representatives in key development geographies and to develop as a driver of market development plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Marketing and Market Development teams to support procedures involving Alpha Informatix technologies.
  • Aligns regularly with Marketing and Sales Leadership to achieve strategic company objectives.
  • Assists Sales Agents, Surgeons, Operating Room Personnel, and Biomedical Departments with collection and dissemination of market-provided feedback.
  • Actively participates in field-based core and advanced training to agents, field representatives and employees.
  • Actively participates in development programs focused on surgeon and sales relationship building / management.
  • Continuously increases knowledge of new developments within the assigned market as well as Alpha Informatix / ATEC Spine products to perform as a subject matter expert.
  • Maintains a knowledge base of instrument and implant systems through Alphatec Spine’s education training programs.
  • Participates in company and industry events such as sales meetings, seminars, training programs, conventions, trade shows, etc. as requested.
  • Maintains all current certifications and vendor hospital credentialing.
  • Adheres to written procedures for troubleshooting and support of ATEC products.
  • Provides prompt and accurate complaint reports per the quality system requirements.
  • Completes required administrative duties such as activity logs, travel reports, expense reports, etc. per established policies and procedures.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Relevant knowledge and experience with spinal implant products and instruments
  • Relevant knowledge and experience with IONM technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Technically savvy with spinal implant products and instruments
  • Experience with an understanding of a clinical/surgical environments and workflow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access amp; Project, Windows, and internet applications
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team focused environment
  • Ability to travel up to 80 percent of the time

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a clinical/science concentration or business, marketing or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of relevant medical device activity related to clinical service, sales, market development, surgeon and/or sales education.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods up to 80% of time.
  • Technical skills sufficient to become expert at both implant and monitoring technologies.

For roles based in the United States that require access to hospital facilities, must be eligible for and maintain credentials at all required hospitals, including meeting any applicable physical requirements or vaccination requirements (including the COVID-19 vaccine, as applicable).

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $80,000 to $90,000 Full-Time Annual Salary.
