Our partner is looking for a Merchant Lending Business Sales Officer in Titusville, FL (Polk County, FL Area) with Work from Home flexibility. As an independent subject matter expert, you will play a crucial role in maintaining relationships with current Indirect Merchant Lending partners (aka Retail Sales Finance) and prospecting new partners to expand the consumer loan portfolio. This position requires regular travel within the assigned geographic territory.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and establish relationships with new indirect retail merchant partners while maintaining existing partner relationships.
- Educate and provide ongoing training to merchant partners on Launch's merchant lending products and services, including processes, procedures, and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective merchant partners, proposing lending programs to attract clients and support their business growth.
- Provide continuous support to merchants and their clients throughout the loan application, approval, and servicing process.
- Collaborate with Launch's Marketing Department to develop strategies for promoting indirect retail partners and prospecting new merchants.
- Achieve or exceed department goals, including outside sales, cross-selling, and credit quality targets.
- Ensure lending decisions comply with credit union policies and procedures.
- Resolve questions and concerns from merchants, branches, Lending Center personnel, Collections Department, and VP/Consumer Lending Business Development in a timely manner.
- Recommend enhancements to current loan products and features and assist in the implementation of new indirect merchant products and programs.
- Propose changes to credit union policy or procedure regarding the indirect lending program.
- Verify the accuracy of documents received from indirect partners in support of the daily operations of the Indirect Merchant Lending function.
- Monitor competitor rates, terms, and trends related to indirect merchant lending.
- Provide feedback and recommendations on the implementation of new software/processes to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain a monthly tracking report of indirect loans.
- Adhere to Launch Credit Union's policies and procedures.
- Complete assigned compliance training within specified timelines.
- Attend required meetings and sessions, which may involve travel.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the company.

Requirements
- High school education or GED.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in retail sales finance and development.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida driver's license in good standing.
- Proficient in consumer loan underwriting, including analyzing credit reports and supporting documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and calculator usage, with the ability to adapt to new technology.
- Ability to quickly learn and become knowledgeable about Launch's policies, procedures, and relevant regulations governing consumer lending.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
