Job Description

Our partner, a renowned organization in the cultural sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Facilities Project Manager for a remote position based in the USA. As a Senior Facilities Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Facilities amp; Building Operations to ensure the successful delivery of projects while minimizing any negative impact on the Museum. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to diverse projects of varying sizes and scopes, working with a team of dedicated employees and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Seamlessly interface projects with the Museum's extensive physical plant, encompassing 1,000,000 square feet of museum property and 7 multi-purpose buildings.
  • Manage components of an annual expense budget of $4.0 million and up to a $10 million capital project budget in coordination with the Vice President of Facilities amp; Building Operations.
  • Oversee projects ranging from $50k to $1M that heavily interact with building mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with up to 50 Museum employees and contractors to support the successful execution of projects.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the building's electrical and steam systems, ensuring their integration into Museum construction and renovation projects.
  • Familiarize yourself with the building systems, including natural gas boilers, chilled water systems, high voltage distribution stations, generators, UPS, fire suppression and alarm systems, elevators/escalators, environmental controls, and a computer-operated building management system, to effectively oversee Museum construction and renovation projects.
  • Interface with Museum Board Members through the Physical Facilities Committee and Environmental Sustainability and Green Building Teams when necessary.
  • Work closely with various Museum teams to seamlessly integrate projects during and after business hours, 365 days per year, while prioritizing a positive visitor experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in facilities project management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building mechanical systems and electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and coordinate multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
