Job Description

Zafrens, Inc., a biotechnology company working to redefine drug discovery and lifesciences product development, is seeking an experienced Scientist/Sr. Scientist Immunology to join their team of adventurous scientists. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing category-defining assays and drugs that push the boundaries of lifescience innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in T cell biology and signal transduction research, as well as experience with a variety of cell-based and molecular biology assays. The position will involve working on a variety of projects related to T cell immunology, including the development of new CAR-T cell therapies and the study of B cell biology. Experience with single-cell analysis is highly preferred.


Responsibilities
  • Perform primary mammalian cell culture, co-culture assays, flow cytometry, and immunophenotyping.
  • Develop and optimize cell-based assays for the study of T cell biology including T cell isolation, expansion, cytokine secretion assays, T cell differentiation, T cell killing assay etc.,
  • Perform cell and molecular biology assays such as live cell imaging, internalization assays, cytotoxicity assays, ADCC, ELIspot, ELISA/Luminex, and qPCR.
  • Work with single cell assay systems.
  • Collaborate with other scientists on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Communicate results and findings clearly and concisely in group meetings and conferences.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in immunology or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cell biology and molecular biology.
  • Experience with T cell biology and signal transduction research.
  • Experience with a variety of cell-based and molecular biology assays.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CAR-T cell manipulation and functional assay development.
  • Experience with B cell isolation, differentiation, and antibody discovery.
  • Experience with primary cell viral transductions and other gene delivery techniques.
  • Experience in allergy and other autoimmune research.
  • Experience with single cell analysis and manipulation methods.
