Job Description

This internship is for college credit only. This position must be able to come into our San Francisco based office 1 - 2 times per week.

Day-to-day Duties Include

  • Support the Vice President, Public Relations and Communications Football
  • Edit, update and expand media lists
  • Assist with content ideas for Wasserman's Football clients
  • Explore potential media opportunities for Football clients (market research and pitching)
  • Contribute to researching, editing, and writing press releases, statements and other internal and external communications (including bios, one sheeters, etc.)
  • Track and log media interviews and requests for our clients
  • Monitor social media for our client highlights and new items related to Wasserman's Football athletes
  • Charitable development -gt; research and assist with programs, events and campaigns
  • Help execute social media plans, as well as PR deliverables for campaigns, interviews, events
  • Media and Event logistics - travel, itineraries, talking points, media assets
  • Administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in Public Relations or Communications
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast, etc.
  • Awareness of industry trends
  • Thorough understanding of social media, especially Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
  • Well-developed communication, organizational and time management skills, as well as basic administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Displays indications of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clients
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills

Important Information

  • Must be able to commit 15 - 20 hours per week
  • Preference for applicants that can come into our Los Angeles of San Francisco based offices 1 - 2 times per week
  • This internship is for college credit only
  • The fall internship program goes from September 11 - December 8
