Job Description

NMI is looking for a Technical Product Manager - Billing amp; Invoicing. The NMI Billing amp; Invoicing product is a growing product offering upon which hundreds of thousands of businesses of all sizes and types are able to realize payments revenue. This role will solve for a variety of pricing models across multiple product verticals where accuracy and clarity of data is paramount to building trust with customers.

The Billing team is responsible for the development of a suite of billing services covering the various needs of our subsidiaries and global finance teams. This role will lead the product development of new systems, manage existing systems, and oversee the migration strategy between the two. Your work will enable new types of businesses to scale on our platform while maintaining a high bar for reliability, accuracy and usability.

As the Technical Product Manager for Billing amp; Invoicing, you’ll be the Billing Team’s expert on how data from the Billing product suite is instrumented, collected, processed, retained and leveraged for maximum business impact. We’re looking for someone with a passion for working with large datasets, and a keen eye for detail. Someone who loves to learn, loves to collaborate, and loves to push the boundaries of data-driven engineering. If you’re a self-starter with a blend of technical, product and financial operations experience, we’d love to hear from you.

A successful candidate possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, attention to detail, and the drive to make their vision a reality. You’re equally as comfortable shipping user-facing experiences as you are writing queries to analyze data sets. You will:

  • Be the Engineering team’s expert on NMI’s Billing amp; Invoicing solutions across all subsidiaries of NMI.

  • Define the product vision and roadmap for billing and invoicing products.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define Minimum Viable Product (MVP) phases that deliver incremental value; Ensuring MVP aligns with product vision and NMI’s strategic goals.
  • Translate requirements into user stories, release notes and knowledge base system documentation and provide product training to internal teams.
  • Work with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features and iteratively launch new billing and invoice products and features.
  • Identify and address product risks and issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in billing and invoicing.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure new products and functionality work as expected. Ensure the conceptual and functional integrity of new features or components.
