Position Summary

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. This role reports to the Director of Developer Operations and will work closely with the Dynamics Development team to provide comprehensive support for Dynamics 365, Great Plains, Dynamics CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform in both development and production environments. Your primary responsibility will be to specialize in areas such as system administration, maintenance, and optimization to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our systems.

Requirements

What We Want You to Do
  • Collaborate with the Dynamics Development team to understand system requirements and provide ongoing support.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including configuration and maintenance of Dynamics 365, Great Plains, Dynamics CRM and the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
  • Implement security measures and enforce best practices to safeguard data and protect against potential threats.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users to resolve system-related issues and ensure smooth usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor system logs and perform system health checks to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external support teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in system administration and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and security.
  • Assist in managing user access, permissions, and licenses for various systems and platforms.
  • Implement and enforce change management procedures to minimize disruptions and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to integrate systems and platforms, ensuring seamless communication and data flow.
  • Support and manage our servers and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
  • Collaborate with our development team to improve our cloud-native technology.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes.
  • Maintain documentation for systems and processes.
  • Provide technical support to our team members as needed.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Systems Administration role.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, server hardware, and storage systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
