Job Description

Sprink Construction (www.sprinkconstruction.com), is seeking an extraordinary individual to serve as Project Engineer within our rapidly growing business. Sprink is a commercial general contractor based out of Denver, Colorado that specializes in tenant improvements, with specific focus in the light industrial/warehouse sector. Powered by a culture that takes pride in execution and a highly collaborative team, Sprink has grown to become a well-regarded and preferred contractor for some of the largest commercial real estate owners in the market. The right candidate would join Sprink at a compelling time for the company, with an opportunity to assist the team in executing a pipeline of critical projects for the company.

This position will be located at the company’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado, then mobilized to job sites throughout the Denver MSA, as needed. This individual will have the opportunity to work directly with the President, and seasoned construction manager and superintendent of the company to perform on a larger scale and quantity of projects concurrently. Responsibilities will include:

  • Review field reports and inspection reports, with the ability to manage municipal permit portals.
  • Review subcontractor proposals to ensure all necessary scope is covered to minimize scope coverage gaps.
  • Manage and keep detailed records and coordination of documentation oversight for all cost, schedule, and design changes (Change Orders, RFI’s, submittals, approvals, Construction Document updates, etc.).
  • Track project budgets and billings with the accounting team.
  • Run weekly project OAC meetings and distribute agenda/note updates.
  • Project server file and construction plan management.
  • Manage material deliveries and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Physical sample specifications review.
  • On-site trade coordination and management, with some light superintendent roles on initial projects.
  • Assist in preconstruction cost-estimation and analysis.
  • Develop and manage project schedule with superintendent and construction team.
  • Work closely with superintendent, foremen, and crews on site for specific projects and be available for on-site inspections and presence as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience in either engineering, construction, or construction management
  • Educated or licensed as Civil, MEP, Structural or architecture is beneficial for the position given our design integration mentality
  • Undergraduate degree or other accreditation in engineering, construction management or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project and Excel, Auto CAD, and Autodesk Build
  • Acute attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator who works well in a team environment
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to fast-paced requirements effectively

  • Base salary of $65,000 to $90,000 (depending on level of experience) with annual bonus potential
