Our client is seeking a lead senior-level Natural Software Developer with knowledge of pension mainframe systems. The selected Senior Lead Natural Software Developer will provide technical expertise through all phases of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to support the various START (current pension administration system) data fixes required by the Data Quality project. Technical expertise will be provided primarily through guidance of a team of natural software developers and consulting with the Pension solution Data Manager. In some instances, the Senior Lead Natural Software Developer may perform the most complex system analysis and programming activities related to the following pension system services:
1. Mainframe data preparation and cleansing activities
2. Mainframe resolution of incidents
3. Resolution of mainframe Data Change Requests (DCR)
4. Analysis, extraction, and deliverables for Information Requests (IR)
5. Implementation of small to large-sized mainframe system enhancements
6. Validation of converted data
7. Conversion issue analysis
8. Other related activities as required by the Pension Solution Data Manager The delivery of these services requires expert skills in business requirement analysis, system design, functional and technical specification documentation, programming/coding, and testing.
The Senior Lead Natural Software Developer will be responsible for following the SDLC methodology for development activities while working with a variety of internal business areas.
Requirements
Minimum Technical Qualifications
1. At least fifteen (15) years of experience programming in a Natural/ADABAS development environment.
2. At least fifteen (15) years of hands-on experience following a structured SDLC.
3. At least five (5) years of demonstrated experience working as a Natural Developer with a pension or financial system.
4. At least three (3) years of lead developer or architect experience, with demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical team members.
Desirable Technical Qualifications
1. Experience within the last five (5) years providing guidance and/or support for a Pension, Financial or similar type of organization.
2. Experience within the last five (5) years providing data analysis for a Pension, Financial or similar type
of organization.
3. Demonstrated experience within the last ten (10) years working with system functionality, data
structures, data relationships, and processing and interfaces in a custom-built Natural/ADABAS system for a pension, financial, or similar type organization.
4. Demonstrates sound analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and
ability to logically approach a problem and document the findings.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, facilitation and negotiation.
6. Experience in a Natural Construct technical environment.
7. Experience with conversion of data from Adabas to SQL Server.
8. Experience with and knowledge of Job Control Language (JCL).
