REPORTS/RELATIONSHIPS:
This role resides within the Corporate Accounting team and reports to Sr. Manager, Global Consolidation and Corporate Accounting. This role will play an integral part in the preparation of the Company’s monthly and quarterly financial statements and assist with the preparation of the monthly and quarterly results of operations reporting for the executive committee. The role will have significant visibility with the Corporate Controller, Chief Accounting Officer and other senior members of the accounting, finance, and business community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and worldwide consolidation of actual results, including the submission of monthly financial information and reporting schedules from the business units.
Preparing internal reports and analyses of business operating results for executive audience
Leads the investigation and clearing of inter-company balances.
Performing and /or reviewing analyses of corporate accruals and related expenses (e.g., defined benefit plans, derivative accounting (ASC 815), share-based compensation (ASC 718), et al.)
Assists in the compilation of consolidated balance sheets, income statements, statements of cash flows, and other executive reporting schedules.
Assist in the quarterly/semi-annual balance sheet deep dive exercise to ensure accurate and complete representation of financial position on the Company’s consolidated balance sheet.
Identify areas of improvements, and pain points in the monthly and quarterly period end close process and suggest process improvements.
Control owner for period end key controls in terms of reconciliations, financial statement schedules, etc. thereby ensure complete and accurate representation of financial statements and making supporting documents ready for review.
Assistance as needed to the Company’s SEC/external reporting team in preparing footnote disclosures for Form 10-Q/10-K, and review of audit committee materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting
CPA preferred and pursuing the degree is highly encouraged.
2-4 years of experience in public accounting firm, and/or within a medium to large company’s consolidation/reporting team. SEC experience is a plus, not required.
High degree of proficiency with excel and other Microsoft Office products with ability to retrieve data, manipulate such data and create useful analytical information.
High level understanding of consolidation tools (OneStream, HFM) or ERP systems (Oracle Finance, JDE, etc.) is a plus.
Strong communication, and presentation skills.
Must be able to adjust and work effectively in a dynamic, changing, and collaborative environment.
Very good multitasking skills.
