Frontier Medicines is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Disease Biology team's In Vivo group as a Sr. Research Associate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in in vivo research and demonstrate expertise in working with mouse models of oncology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, operating in a dynamic and fast-paced drug-hunting environment. The role will be based in our South San Francisco location.
Requirements
What are we looking for?
- Actively participate in animal observations and care, cell culture, and mouse model development.
- Executing full in vivo studies from cell culture to implantation, animal monitoring, study take down and sample collection.
- Execute key in vivo experiments to demonstrate the efficacy of novel compounds.
- Contribute to project teams and the preclinical development of lead assets to achieve project deliverables.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders; engage in the science beyond the experimental objective.
- Grow and implant cells for xenograft studies. implanting cells for xenograft studies.
- Administer drugs and collection/analysis of samples.
- Maintain a clear, detailed electronic laboratory notebook to document all experiments and findings.
- Comply with best laboratory safety practices.
What makes the ideal candidate?
- BS in biological science (animal science, pharmacology, cellular biology, or related discipline), with at least 3+ years of relevant pharma/biotech experience.
- Experience in cancer biology, working in oncology drug discovery project teams, rodent cancer model development, and drug testing.
- Experience with cell culture.
- Experience with in vivo techniques, including dosing, blood collection, and model development.
- Excellent communication, organization, and technical writing skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly, take initiative when warranted, and thrive in a dynamic start-up environment.

At Frontier we strive to build a diverse and equitable workplace. The salary range for this role is $93,000 - $114,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including candidates' qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
