We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Senior Zero Trust (ZT) Software System Architect, Senior to join our talented, dynamic team in support of a large Federal Government customer.

The Senior ZT Software System Architect, Senior will help lead a dynamic and exciting cybersecurity program for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Duties
As a Senior ZT Software System Architect, Senior supporting Maveris programs, you will be trusted to support the delivery of our IT products and services. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Build Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) use cases that are built upon VA specific reference architecture target capabilities from prioritized assessment output, OMB and CISA memos and directives as well as changing requirements as they emerge from DHS, PMB, CISA, BOD and NIST directives and new technology and systems deployed within the VA.
- Craft use case that are detailed and focus on architecture at the conceptual, logical, and implementation layer for software.
- Create architecture diagrams showing software components.
- Serve as an expert consultant to determine if existing toolsets can be utilized or if a new tool is required.
- Create Governance Decision Issue Brief documents that may be in the form of a decision whitepaper, brief, or presentation with multiple recommended courses of action.
- Develop software architecture to reflect current IT system and create use cases to support new ZT software architecture.
- Help architect DevSecOp pipelines and integrate tool sets to develop containerized applications.
- Support system teams in implementing ZT software architecture and designs.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
- 10 years of relevant experience
- 10 years of additional experience may be substituted for education.
- Must be able to work with program and project leaders to define and create the architectural depictions and documents, ensuring logical flow, and address all issues.
- Experience programing in a variety of software programs and languages (i.e., Java, Java Script, NodeJS, etc.).
- Must be able to design and discuss system strategies for platform, applications, and networks.
- Must have experience with the following: DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines, Containers (Docker or Containerd), and Kubernetes.
- General Linux knowledge and platform experience.
- Must have experience and/or knowledge integrating or utilizing or tools in DevSecOps CI/DC Pipelines.
