We are assisting a client that is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their team
at a conference center hotel in Central PA. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3
years of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and be able to work
well under pressure. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef
in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, menu planning,
inventory management, and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management
- Prepare food according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they are following all safety and sanitation
procedures
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Assist with menu planning and development
Requirements
At least 1-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
