Job Description
We are seeking senior platform engineers to join a pioneering fashion technology startup. We empower sustainable and valuable fashion brands with our cloud-based platform, ONE. We are the canvas upon which the future of the $3T fashion industry will be painted, its operating system. We are reimagining it and rebuilding from the ground up!
At Resonance we are completely rethinking how designers create, sell and make garments and that is why we need engineers who can apply first-principles thinking to build great systems! You will have the opportunity to work on diverse problems from supporting the digital design processes to optimizing manufacturing processes. We feel this is a rare opportunity to design completely novel solutions for a type of garment design and manufacturing that has never been done before!
The role requires a strong background in building cloud based data-rich systems. The ONE platform team's stack at the core is Python/AWS/Kubernetes/Kafka/Postgres.
Responsibilities
- Architect platform solutions against requirements that you will iteratively co-develop with stakeholders across the business
- Understand complex processes and operations to build new interfaces and improve process automation
- Build event-driven systems that enable scalable, observable and adaptive end-end processes
- Design relational data models, and build Postgres+GraphQL database solutions
- Use Machine Learning for automation and optimization
- Develop, deploy and maintain back-end processes and jobs in our AWS cloud and Kubernetes clusters
- Integrate data with no-code applications and workflows (Airtable)
- Build or support ETL pipelines
Requirements
All or most of the following apply to you...
- You have Masters or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
- Excited about seeing how your software makes an impact in the real world for example automating a small factory where your code directly leads to garments being made
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- You enjoy the excitement of tackling diverse and evolving project scenarios
- you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environments
- Skilled at turning ambiguity into actionable plans and successful outcomes
- Excellent knowledge of one or more back-end programming languages - Python preferred
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Familiar with NoSQL and other data processing technologies (Redis, Mongo, Kafka)
- Comfortable working in cloud/containerized environments (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices
- Experience with common software development tools and services, such as version control software, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines (Argo CD/ Git / Git Actions)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning and/or constraint optimization
- Experience building complex data pipelines / ETL
- Experience with GraphQL
