Job Description

Boston Seaport is in search of a high-achieving, creative and analytical Marketing Communications, Senior Manager to join the district’s growing marketing team. The Seaport marketing team works relentlessly to further perception of Seaport as Boston’s top neighborhood, creating awareness across multiple audiences both local and afar. To compound community event and owned media efforts, the marketing team places significant focus on earned media generation and paid media campaigns. Partnering with team members that focus on event activation and digital content curation and reporting into the District’s General Manager, this role will drive the overall communications strategy across these external channels, mapping spend to key initiatives, supporting creative execution, and measuring efforts with weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting.

Key Position Accountabilities:

-Act as the primary liaison with Seaport’s media agency to strategize and deploy a deliberate media mix (including out-of-home, display, mobile, social and paid search campaigns) that seek to brand the district and drive awareness of neighborhood retailers, programs and events

-Partner with the neighborhood field team and corporate marketing/creative team to develop assets needed for implementation of paid media

-Partner with local and national (two) public relations agencies to secure media placements from top tier national business/retail/innovation and retail estate publications, editing releases and coordinating opportunistic district tours/visits by key editors and freelancers

-Collaborate around Seaport social media efforts to maximize return on that work through paid advertising and better leveraging of social listening tools. In tandem, this role will develop reporting around influencer outreach and monitor and measure impact as possible

-Align all campaign and content activity with event team plans to maximize exposure and promotion

-Lead analytics efforts in tracking and reporting out on the success of campaign efforts from paid media to earned media efforts

-Contribute to the continual innovative thinking that will drive the neighborhood’s currency

-Concept, develop and manage key partnerships with local and national partners to drive perception and relevance of the District

Requirements

Education amp; Experience
