Position Overview:

As a Talent Acquisition Manager at Gersh Autism, you will play a vital role in building a highly skilled and passionate team that shares our organization's mission and values. You will be based in Long Island, NY, and will be responsible for developing and executing effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top-tier professionals across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to meet the organization's talent needs, ensuring alignment with Gersh Autism's mission and goals.
  2. Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates for various positions, from entry-level to leadership roles.
  3. Talent Sourcing: Utilize diverse sourcing channels, such as job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, referrals, and partnerships with educational institutions, to identify and engage potential candidates.
  4. Employer Branding: Enhance Gersh Autism's employer brand by showcasing the organization's positive culture, work environment, and commitment to personal and professional growth opportunities.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and proactively address talent requirements.
  6. Talent Pipeline: Develop and maintain a talent pipeline to ensure a steady pool of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  7. Applicant Tracking System (ATS): Utilize and manage the ATS to track candidate progress, maintain candidate records, and generate recruitment metrics.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies during the recruitment and hiring process.
  9. Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, salary benchmarks, and changes in the labor market to adjust recruitment strategies accordingly.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead a team of recruiters. This involves providing guidance, support, and mentoring to team members, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs within the team and organize training sessions to enhance their recruitment skills, knowledge of the organization's mission, and understanding of diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Goal Setting: Collaborate with team members to set recruitment targets and key performance indicators, tracking progress towards achieving these goals.
  • Motivation and Recognition: Foster a positive and motivating work environment, recognizing team members' achievements and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Problem-solving: Act as a resource for the team when facing complex recruitment challenges, offering guidance and support to help them overcome obstacles and achieve their objectives.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the team and between departments, ensuring everyone is well-informed about recruitment processes and progress.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the organization's mission, serving as a role model for the team in terms of professionalism, integrity, and dedication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager or in a similar recruitment leadership role.
  • Familiarity with autism-related services or a passion for working in the nonprofit sector is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and current hiring trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates, employees, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
